Peter Armitage leads Blake Dawson's Competition and Consumer Protection team, recognised as one of Australia's leading competition law practices.
Peter has been a partner since 1992. He specialises in complex merger clearances in both domestic and international transactions. He also has a long track record of effectively defending clients in investigations and legal actions by the ACCC.
Peter has been consistently recognised by clients and peers in the leading legal publication Chambers Global. The 2011 edition noted of Peter that "sources admire his intellectual abilities." In 2010, clients recognised Peter for his wide expertise and described him as "a pleasure to work with and a tremendous intellect." The 2009 edition commended Peter for his extensive experience and collaborative approach to problem solving.
He is a member of the Competition and Consumer Committee of the Law Council of Australia; the Intellectual Property Society of Australia Inc (former President) and the Intellectual Property and Competition and Consumer Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria (former Chairman).
