The Prosecution and Defence of Financial Crimes
An overview of current issues involved in prosecution and defence of financial crimes and the marshalling of evidence in practical cost effective ways in considered in the seminar. Particular reference will also be made to the Anti-Money laundering obligations for legal practitioners.

Richard Bell is a Barrister in Wardell Chambers Sydney. He practices mainly in civil litigation principally in matrimonial, de facto, estate and commercial litigation.
Richard is a former member of the Bar Council Family Law Committee, a current member of its ADR Committee and formerly a Bar Council Representative on the District Court Civil Users Committee. He has frequently arbitrated in the District Court of NSW and currently mediates as a Supreme Court Panel Mediator in a wide range of civil disputes. He is a Director of the Australasian Dispute Centre on behalf of the NSW Bar Council.
He has practised in a wide range of trial and appellate advocacy including the High Court of Australia, the Full Court of the Family Court and at first instance, the Full Court of the Federal Court and at first instance, the NSW Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, District Court and the Court of Disputed Returns.
He has regularly presented cross examination, general advocacy and mediation seminars to fellow lawyers.
