Te Maiora Rurehe

"I was once reminded by the venerable Tohunga Tā Pou Temara that we must patient – ‘me manawanui’. It's like the turtle and hare race; our friends may go off onto big time jobs quite early in their career, however, he (or she) that holdfast to the law will reap the rewards later down the track."

"Admidst the challenges, you discover your strength and the capacity to face everyday life challenges you encounter working as a lawyer."

FAQs

How much time do I have to dedicate to the programme?

Part-time - The is a flexible option that requires a minimum of 27 hours of study per week.

Full-time - For those who can commit to full-time study. The full-time programme requires a minimum of 37 hours study per week.

If you are working or have other commitments during business hours, we recommend that you complete the evening programme.

When enrolling, be realistic about the time you can commit to studying and select a programme that offers the pace that best fits your lifestyle.

Will I need to undertake final written examinations?

There are no exams in the workplace, and there won’t be any in Profs.

During your programme, you will complete online tasks and performance assessments, so you are prepared to deliver what’s asked of you in the workplace.

When should I submit my application form for StudyLink?

We recommend enrolling in a Profs programme as soon as possible to ensure that you have adequate time to apply for a student loan.

What happens if I can’t attend a workshop?

Profs is not like university, it’s 100% hands-on. The workshops are interactive and require your participation, so they are mandatory.

If you are unable to attend a workshop, you will be required to transfer to the next available programme at an additional cost.
